Great informative tour!! Wide variety of places described by Ryan who was very knowledgeable about the history of Cedar Key. Learned about the effects of historical hurricanes, older buildings and families in town, quaint places to eat, and even learned about the island’s cemetary and school system. Very personable! I have visited Cedar Key frequently over the past 12 years and thought I knew a lot. Today I went back specifically to take this new tour with Ryan and found that I knew very little! Ryan is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Cedar Key both past and present. When they say you ride in a luxury golf cart, you better believe it! Do this first when you arrive in Cedar Key. Ryan takes you on 2 full hours that includes 8 spots. You will learn about the islands history, what is it is like to live on Cedar Key, their recent experiences with hurricanes and fun things to do while there. We were very impressed with tour. This provided us all we needed to explore the next few days. We did the 9am tour and weather was cool. Ryans knowledge and tour presentation made it an excellent start to day.

It was a lovely afternoon tour. Golf cart tour, boat tour, lunch (there were some delicious choices!) and then ice cream to top it off. I don't do ice cream so I bought a Orange Blossom muffin and it was amazing. Would recommend to everyone.

We had a great time on the adventure tour today. The tour included a delicious lunch at Steamers. It continued with a golf cart tour with Ryan who gave us a wealth of information about cedar key. Next was a boat tour with dolphins and an education about clams. Finally we ended with ice cream…..yum! What more could you ask for. Hint: Go a little early and have a donut or muffin at the bakery.

You learn history in some ways in a museum, in some ways from reading and researching, and in whole new ways from such a terrific tour.
